Price includes serving staff, chafing dishes, serving utensils, clean up and pick-up after meal as well as delivery and set-up, within the city limits. Ask for pricing outside city limits.
Ordering & Other Information
Large events such as rehearsal dinners, graduation parties, weddings, conferences, etc, need to be booked at least two weeks in advance.
Meal Service: Meals are served promptly as scheduled. We allow for 2 hours of service for 100+ people. Changes in hours can be longer, but must be approved by Catering Adviser. Caters reserves the right to additional charges for events running beyond the time agreed upon. The additional charges for the events running the time agreed upon is $50 per hour.
Event Setup and Staffing: Our contract does not include set up of tables and chairs in your venue. Our contract includes 1 to 2 hours of set up (this includes unloading, set up of buffet table or station , setting up flatware, plateware and stemware if necessary), 3 hours of event service (including serving, picking up plates and cutlery), and 1 hour of final event cleanup. Overtime is billed at a rate of $30.00 per hour per staff member.
If you have rented any items from Fried Green Tomatoes, we will be picking those up as well prior to our leaving.
Taxes and Gratuity: All products and services subject to applicable PST and GST. Gratuity will be charged at a 14% to all food and beverage charges for staffed events.
Staffed Banquet Functions: Unless otherwise expected and acknowledged, all guaranteed numbers of meals and meal selections must be communicated no later than one working week (7 days) prior to the function.
For health and insurance reasons:
- We do not allow removal of food from the premises following the function.
- Unless otherwise approved in writing by Fried Green Tomatoes’ owner, only food provided by Fried Green Tomatoes will be allowed on the premises for any Fried Green Tomatoes’ catered functions.
- All leftover foods will be safely removed from premises.
- We will not receive, store, transport, cook or re-heat any food other than what was prepared by Fried Green Tomatoes Catering.
Bookings, deposits & pricing: We would be happy to secure your date and our services for you. Deposits are required on any orders over $500.00.
All prices are subject to change without notice until a final quote is provided, at what point prices remain fixed and guaranteed until the date of the event.
Booking deposits will be applied to the final invoice. All deposits are non-refundable.
Payment: Your final invoice will be issued within three days of your event. Payment in form of a certified cheque is due upon receipt. Please make checks payable to Fried Green Tomatoes.
